      CIS now has a newsletter! It gives students updates about what is happening at the centre, information about our teachers and students, as well as information about Italian events in Melbourne, good Italian restuarants to dine at and interesting facts about Italy and all things Italian!!

These are some of the events we organise throughout the year:

ITALIAN FILM FESTIVAL 2008

Every year CIS organises, in conjunction with the Italian Film Festival, a night for its students.

 In 2008 the Festival will open in Melbourne on Wednesday 17th September, 2008.
The opening night selection is "TUTTA LA VITA DAVANTI " (Her whole life ahead),new film by Paolo Virzi`. This irresistibile film is a sharp and witty satire that centre on the lives, loves and struggles of the employee of an Italian call centre. 
Critics in Italy have said that it's the BEST Italian comedy in recent years.
Only the best films have been selected from the recent Venice, Rome and Cannes International Film Festivals including films by established directors.

This year CIS is organizing for its students to go and see:

• L'ABBUFFATA (THE FEAST ) at Cinema Como on Friday 19th September for the 9.00pm session.
  
• TUTTA LA VITA DAVANTI (HER WHOLE LIFE AHEAD ) at Cinema Westgarth on Sunday 21 September for the 5.30 pm session.
  
• IL DOLCE E L'AMARO (THE SWEET & THE BITTER)) at Cinema Balwyn on Wednesday 24th September for the 8.45pm session.
  
• MATRIMONIO ALL'ITALIANA (MARRIAGE ITALIAN-STYLE) at Cinema Kino on Saturday 4th October for the 9.15pm session.

FESTA DI NATALE - XMAS PARTY!!

Christmas is the time to celebrate all around the world and this year CIS organized for the students and the teachers to get together to drink, eat and speak Italian.
