ADULT BEGINNERS: LEVELS 1- 4
The core of the program is the CI SIAMO course which presents
Italian language and culture in an interesting and entertaining
way.
The focus of the course is to provide students with the skills
and the opportunity to speak in Italian as much as possible.

1. Can you understand what is being said when Italian is spoken
at normal, or close to normal speed?
2. Can you make yourself understood in Italian (even if you have to
use some dialect or English)?
If you've answered YES to both of these questions, then Level 5
or higher should be appropriate for you.
While the emphasis of the course remains on conversation,
considerable attention is given to a more thorough explanation of
grammar, and to reading and writing. The prescribed text
is Nuovo Progetto Italiano which presents modern
Italian language and culture in an interesting and entertaining
way.

comprehensively.
- While conversation remains the focus at this level, more
attention is given to the development of writing skills, together
with advanced reading and oral/aural comprehension. Grammar is
dealt with as it arises.
